True Blue

Since the moment Carrie put these Manolo's in the closet that she would eventually share with Big, I have forever been in love with blue shoes.  Alas, I was not able to purchase the aforementioned shoes and have dreamed about them for years.

As classic as these shoes are (I love them today just as much as I did 3 years ago), there haven't been many blue options available until this past spring.  Finally, a resurgence in bold shoes has brought the blue shoe back with a bang.  Even better news, the bold shoe trend continues right into the fall.  So, if you haven't already bought a pair, now is the time.

If you are a bit cautious about wearing such a vivid hue, fear not.  You will wear these shoes much more than you think, and they add a little whimsy and fun to an otherwise basic ensemble.  As Frieda Pinto showed us a couple of weeks ago, blue shoes look great with white for the summer.  As we move into the fall, these shoes will look great with neutrals... khaki, gray, black and my favorite... navy!  These shoes would look great with a print that has a hint of blue, or would perfectly finish off a cool tone, color blocking look.

When accessorizing with these shoes, try mixing it up a bit.  Don't get too matchy-matchy.  You can mix at least 3 colors without looking like a fashion don't.  So, if you need a belt or clutch, try a leopard print or yellow, orange, maybe green... just make sure that what you have put together looks pleasing to the eye.

There is a style for everyone... booties, shoeties, pumps, flats... I have even seen blue cowboy boots!  The only decision you need to make is which type of shoe would fit your wardrobe best.  Don't hesitate.  Liven up your look this fall and go buy a fabulous pair of blue shoes!
